Matthew Bare

Matthew Bare is a director of climate and environment supporting ACDI/VOCA’s efforts to mainstream climate mitigation and resilience across the agriculture and economic growth practice areas. He advises on climate strategies, including climate-smart agriculture, greenhouse gas emissions measurements, and market incentives for sustainable production. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2023, Matthew worked with a non-profit, advising companies on regenerative agriculture, farmer livelihoods, and monitoring and evaluation in the coffee, cocoa, and banana sectors. He holds a master’s degree in forestry from the Yale School of the Environment and an MBA from the University of the Andes (Colombia). He is fluent in English and Spanish.
