Scott Bode is the senior technical director of natural resource management (NRM) at ACDI/VOCA. He has 18 years of experience in the design, management, implementation, and evaluation of international development assistance programs in the environment and agriculture sectors. Previously, Scott worked with a variety of research institutions and development agencies, particularly USAID, as a NRM program lead for Tetra Tech ARD in Sierra Leone. Scott has served several other USAID programs: the Landscape Management for Improved Livelihoods (LAMIL) project in Guinea; the Sustainable Tree Crop Program (STCP) in Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Nigeria, and Cameroon; and the Sustainable and Thriving Environments for West Africa Regional Development (STEWARD) program. He served as a Peace Corp volunteer in Sierra Leone from 1989 to 1991 and holds a B.A. in anthropology and an M.S. in forestry.
