Olaf Kula is a senior managing director at ACDI/VOCA and serves on the investment committee of our affiliate organization AV Ventures. He introduces technical quality standards for financial services programs and builds private sector partnerships with companies such as Corteva, Syngenta, John Deere, and AngloGold Ashanti. Since joining ACDI/VOCA in 2001, Olaf has introduced or reintroduced the organization to new markets in Ghana, Guinea, Nigeria, and India. His greatest pleasure comes from mentoring staff to continue the fight for inclusive growth worldwide. Along with his 30 years of experience in development, Olaf previously worked as a building contractor and owner of a trading company that sold machinery to the private sector throughout Africa. He holds a BS in agricultural economics and MS in natural resource economics from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and is fluent in English and French. Olaf has received Presidential Awards from ACDI/VOCA.
