Morgan Mercer

Morgan Mercer is a gender and youth specialist with eight years of experience in international development. At ACDI/VOCA, she provides technical guidance to agricultural market systems programs related to gender integration, women’s empowerment, and positive youth development; and guides the design and development of technical strategies and tools in gender and youth for the organization. Morgan coauthored the Leveraging Economic Opportunities (LEO) study on Youth Engagement in Agricultural Value Chains across Feed the Future, leading research in Liberia and Nepal, and Cultivating Women’s Empowerment: Stories from Feed the Future 2011-2015. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA, Morgan conducted gender assessments for CARE International in Mali and Tanzania and developed curriculum and training on behavior change interventions for AED/FHI360 and Danya International. Morgan earned an M.A. in development practice from Emory University and a B.A. in political science from the University of South Carolina.
