Dr. Ronald Blake is the chief of party of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food for Progress Jamaica Spices project. In this role, he supports a team of specialists working with farmers and partners to revitalize Jamaica’s spice sector to meet export and domestic demands for ginger, turmeric, and pimento. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2023, Ronald served as executive director of Jamaica 4H Clubs and as a lecturer on the topic of project management. He holds a PhD in education with a specialization in leadership from Northern Caribbean University (Jamaica), an MBA from the Commonwealth of Learning (Jamaica), a BS in project management from the International University of the Caribbean (Jamaica), and an AS in agriculture from The College of Agriculture, Jamaica.
