Over the last 62 years, we have implemented over 200 projects in more than 60 countries across the Global South. Here are some of our impact highlights:

  • We have reached 3.9 million individuals (54% being women) through our food security programs globally.
  • By de-risking agricultural investments, we have leveraged project activities to incentivize $439 million in investment by private sector firms — making each U.S. dollar go further to achieve impact.
  • We have strengthened 35 leading African institutions across 18 countries to drive gender-transformative and nutrition-sensitive agricultural solutions — impacting 2 million people with more nutritious and diverse diets and greater gender equity.
  • We are creating an inclusive, sustainable supply chain of mint oil in India in partnership with Mars Wrigley, resulting in a 156% increase in income from mint for 25,000 farmers.
  • AV Ventures manages over $35 million in impact funds across Kenya, Central Asia, Ghana, and Burkina Faso — creating sustainable investment funds that provide growth capital to early stage enterprises and financial institutions operating in lower income regions and underfunded sectors.
