From 2018 to 2023, Philippine Coffee Advancement and Farm Enterprise (PhilCAFE) supported coffee market actors in producing and selling more high-quality Philippine Robusta and Arabica coffee. With funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, ACDI/VOCA implemented PhilCAFE alongside many local partners, such as coffee producers, academic institutions, and private sector companies.
Over five years, coffee farms and companies supported by PhilCAFE sold $15 million worth of coffee to international markets in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia. This growth stemmed from farmers receiving technical assistance, better access to financing, resources to build nurseries, and more from PhilCAFE.
