Chief of Party of Ghana Poultry Project 

Carianne de Boer is the chief of party of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)-funded Ghana Poultry Project. Carianne leads this project through facilitating systemic market approaches to increase the competitiveness of the local poultry sector. She has 25 years of experience working in developing countries and 15 years of experience focusing on market systems and value chain development. She has been the chief of party for projects funded by the USDA, USAID, and Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2016, Carianne worked in Colombia, Zambia, Afghanistan, and Nepal for projects in agriculture, trade, tourism, crafts, and health sectors. She holds a BS in tropical agriculture from Larenstein University (Netherlands) and an MBA from University of Liverpool (United Kingdom). She is fluent in Dutch, German, and English and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
