Value Chain Development Manager

Aziz Hakimov is a value chain development manager for the USAID Agribusiness Development Activity in Uzbekistan, a five-year activity implemented by Chemonics International and subcontracted by ACDI/VOCA. In this role, Aziz leads the technical team in developing and overseeing program activities related to new value-added technologies and management practices across agricultural value chains. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA in 2020, Aziz began his career doing scientific research related to genome activation and silencing. He later transitioned into become a business strategist and, more recently, worked in the agricultural and biotech sectors for the USAID Agricultural Value Chain Activity in Uzbekistan. Aziz holds a BS in biology from Park University (United States). He is fluent in native Russian, native Uzbek, and English and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
