Senior Technical Director of Market Systems 

Anna Garloch is a senior technical director at ACDI/VOCA, where she advances technical learning and application of systems approaches. This currently includes projects in Honduras, Kenya, and a global contract that supports women’s empowerment in agricultural markets. Anna plays a lead role in promoting Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA), co-authoring ACDI/VOCA’s signature CLA Playbook, and launching a global CLA community of practice to support real-world operationalization. She was previously a component manager and later chief of party on USAID’s $21 million Leveraging Economic Opportunities contract that advanced learning and application of market systems programming globally. Since joining ACDI/VOCA in 2005, she has specialized in agricultural market analysis, action research, collaborative learning, and project design and management. She has worked in more than 12 countries, including throughout sub-Saharan Africa, for donors such as USAID, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Walmart Foundation. Anna began her career at Ashoka Foundation, a front-runner in the social entrepreneurship field.
