Climate-Smart Agriculture Symposium 2016

The Youth Climate Change Conference (YCCC) will once again mobilize youth voices for climate change action on October 10-11, 2017, at the Jamaica Conference Centre in Kingston.  Following two successful stagings, this year, the conference will bring together youth from eight Caribbean countries and Japan.  Participating Caribbean countries include: Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Suriname.

This year’s conference will be held in partnership with the YCCC Secretariat under the theme “Our Climate, Our Voice, Our Change.”  Join the dynamic students and youth group representatives as they propose solutions to climate change from a youth perspective.

The conference will be cohosted by the USAID-funded Jamaica Rural Economy and Ecosystems Adapting to Climate Change II (Ja REEACH II) project and the United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) Japan-Caribbean Climate Change Partnership (J-CCCP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information.
