Moldova & Ukraine – RAISE PLUS Agricultural Policy, Legal and Regulatory Reform Project

ACDI/VOCA is a subcontractor to Abt Associates on this RAISE PLUS IQC task order. Under the subcontract, ACDI/VOCA provides technical assistance to USAID and the government of Ukraine in agricultural policy, privatization and market transactions, tax and subsidy reform, and public advocacy. To encourage positive policy change, ACDI/VOCA has established and works with a multinational expert team to develop a Ukrainian policy working group, composed of reform champions in government ministries and other bodies. The general scope of work includes a review of government-owned agricultural enterprises and a comprehensive review of government regulation in the agricultural sector. ACDI/VOCA also supported the reorganization of the Moldova Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry as an essential step towards developing private sector agriculture and agribusiness.
