Nationwide’s Doug Graham Steps Down from ACDI/VOCA Board; Replaced by Kurt Ely
After nine years of service on the ACDI/VOCA board of directors, Doug Graham for the last time represented Nationwide of Columbus, Ohio, at the June 17 board meeting in Washington. Mr. Graham, who was sponsor relations officer for Nationwide, is retiring and therefore giving up his ACDI/VOCA role.
He had in recent years chaired the board’s Audit Committee and in that position oversaw ACDI/VOCA’s steady growth, increased reserves and improved overall fiscal soundness.
Chairman of the Board Mort Neufville and ACDI/VOCA President Carl Leonard presented Graham with a plaque as a token of the organization’s esteem and gratitude. Mr. Leonard commented that Nationwide had been “on our side” for over 45 years.
The following resolution was passed unanimously by the board:
That the ACDI/VOCA Board of Directors hereby acknowledges with great appreciation Doug Graham’s service on the Board as representative of longtime Voting Member Nationwide and as Audit Committee Chair. As Doug completes his many years of service, the Board conveys its gratitude to him for his many years of outstanding service and contributions to ACDI/VOCA’s mission of promoting economic opportunities for cooperatives, enterprises and communities worldwide.
Nationwide’s Vice President of Sponsor Relations Kurt M. Ely, will replace Graham on the Board. He will serve on the board’s Projects Committee.
