Increasing Stability and Economic Opportunities in Conflict-Affected Areas

Through this project, ACDI/VOCA’s implementing partner, Action for Enterprise (AFE), provided support to USAID/Kenya for its business development program planning, strategy development, intervention design and ,impact assessment for three USAID-funded programs. Activities under this four-year project included a five-day market development workshop; an impact assessment of the Kenya Business Development Services and Kenya Horticultural Development Center programs; and the development and testing of qualitative data collection tools. These activities strengthened USAID/Kenya’s programs and help them achieve their end goals of increasing rural household incomes, expanding market access and improving the viability of targeted value chains using a private sector market development approach.
