Suzanne Berkey
Managing Director, Food Security
Suzanne Berkey has over 14 years of experience in international development both overseas and at headquarters. As food security managing director, she supervises ACDI/VOCA’s operational support for food security programs, including USAID- and USDA-funded programs. She has three years of field experience working as the watershed and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) specialist on a USAID-funded P.L. 480 Title II project in Cape Verde. During this time, she gained valuable hands-on experience in analyzing program outputs and impacts related to soil and water conservation activities, association development and microfinance. In addition, Ms. Berkey has provided technical assistance to other USAID and USDA programs in the development and management of M&E systems, including contributing to efforts in the West Bank, Rwanda and Ecuador. She earned her master’s in city and regional planning with a focus on energy planning at Clemson University and her B.S. in business administration and psychology at Presbyterian College, graduating cum laude.
