Ryan Larrance

Senior Director, Food Security and Health


Ryan Larrance is a seasoned technical advisor with in-depth experience in various international relief and development settings in the East and Horn of Africa and the U.S. Gulf Coast. He has extensive expertise in maternal, child and newborn health and nutrition, and is knowledgeable in program monitoring, evaluation, research and survey measurement. He currently leads the technical support unit for ACDI/VOCA’s food security programs. He also provides technical guidance for ACDI/VOCA programming on health and nutrition-related new business opportunities and vets ongoing health and nutrition programs. Before joining ACDI/VOCA, Mr. Larrance served in various capacities for the International Medical Corps, including leading the organization’s health technical unit. Prior to that position, Mr. Larrance led IMC country offices in Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, and the U.S. Gulf Coast, conducted research and provided technical input into various health- and nutrition-focused programs. He has coauthored a number of articles on various topics including maternal and child mortality, nutrition, mental health and gender-based violence. He earned his master’s in public health with a focus on international health and development from Tulane University and his bachelor of arts from Hamilton College.
