Lee Rosner
Chief of Party, Tanzania
Lee Rosner has 19 years’ experience as a chief of party and more than 30 years’ experience in international development, including long-term assignments in Bolivia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Colombia, Romania, Tanzania, Liberia, Mozambique, and Uganda. He has expertise in a variety of sectors including rural competitiveness, agribusiness, NGO capacity building, democratic governance, civil society, grants management, HIV and AIDS prevention, and development of micro-, small, and medium-sized enterprises. He currently serves as ACDI/VOCA's chief of party on the $30 million, USAID-funded Staples Value Chain project in Tanzania, known as NAFAKA. The program, a vital component of USAID’s Feed the Future initiative, aims to strengthen Tanzania’s rice and maize value chains and improve the productivity of 20,000 smallholder farmers in crops that can be used for both income generation and consumption. Dr. Rosner earned his doctorate in education from Temple University and his B.S. in business administration from the Ohio State University. He is fluent in Spanish.
