Laura Dillon-Binkley
Director, Community Development
Laura Dillon-Binkley has over 13 years of professional experience working in international development, with a focus on conflict and post-conflict countries. She has demonstrated experience in technical areas including community development, anticorruption and governance, demobilization and reintegration of ex-combatants, pastoral livelihoods, and trade and investment. Currently, Ms. Dillon-Binkley serves as community development director and works on the Community Action Program III in Iraq, which helps communities to assess resources and needs, implement community-led development programs, and build the capacity of local governments to articulate the needs of their communities. Before joining ACDI/VOCA, she worked with the World Bank and USAID in training, capacity building and delivering technical assistance. She has performed assignments in Benin, Burundi, China, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Haiti, Iraq, Kenya, Liberia, Senegal, Tanzania and Uganda. Ms. Dillon-Binkley is completing an M.B.A. in international business at the George Washington University. She earned her M.A. in international peace and conflict resolution from the American University, a certificate in French civilization from the Sorbonne in France, and a B.A. in Western European studies and French from Central College in Iowa. She is fluent in French.
