KD Ladd

Senior Technical Director, Nutrition


KD Ladd has over 15 years of international nutrition experience in developing countries, including in-depth experience in Somalia, Darfur, Ethiopia, Burundi, Iraq, Afghanistan and Liberia. She holds expertise in community management of acute malnutrition (CMAM) and prevention of malnutrition in children under two years old (PM2A). Ladd has extensive experience in infant and young child feeding and early childhood development. She currently serves as senior technical director for nutrition and leads ACDI/VOCA’s nutrition-related programming, which is active in Bangladesh, Haiti, Liberia, Mozambique, Philippines, Rwanda, Sierra Leone and Uganda. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA, Ladd worked with International Medical Corps as a senior nutrition advisor. She spent three years with Banner International, Inc., in Sudan, Liberia and Iraq. She has also worked for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Ladd holds an M.S. in public health and nutrition from James Madison University and a B.S. in human nutrition from Oklahoma State University. She is a registered dietitian. Ladd is proficient in Somali, Cebuano, Mandaya and Tausug.
