Dennis Marotta
Monitoring and Evaluation Manager, Uganda PL 480 Title II Food Security Program
Dennis Marotta has 10 years of international development experience specializing in performance measurement and organizational development in short-, medium- and long-term projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean. He currently serves as monitoring and evaluation manager for ACDI/VOCA’s Uganda PL 480 Title II food security program. Mr. Marotta provides technical assistance in program monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning and change-management activities. Prior to joining ACDI/VOCA, Mr. Marotta served in USAID’s Bureau for Africa as the sole performance monitoring specialist supporting the African Global Competiveness Initiative, which is a five-year, $200 million U.S. Presidential Initiative. He also worked at Management Systems International where he conducted numerous short-term evaluative exercises and provided sustained support to long-term field projects in Uganda and Jamaica. Throughout his career, Mr. Marotta has assisted national and local governments and a variety of civil society organizations, including community-based organizations, NGOs, regional networks and national associations. He has experience in designing and implementing studies using participatory rural appraisal techniques and in the management of information management systems. Mr. Marotta received a master’s of public administration with a concentration in international development and NGO management from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
