Bolivia – PL 480 Technical Assistance Program

Using Expert Volunteers to Reinvigorate Bolivia's Agribusiness Sector

From 1993 to 1996 ACDI/VOCA received local funding from the Executive Secretariat of PL 480, which is part of the government of Bolivia, to implement 108 volunteer assignments, offering technical assistance to 62 grassroots development groups, agribusinesses and producers’ associations in agriculture, the environment and natural resources management. From 1996-2000, the Farmer-to-Farmer program also received Bolivian government funding from the E.S. PL 480 for program implementation.
