New Project Won–East Timor: NGO Sector Strengthening Project

ACDI/VOCA won a $1.9 million five-year NGO Sector Strengthening program that will include focused and highly participatory needs assessments to identify community priorities since these may inform efforts to reduce tensions and prevent violent responses to community challenges. Emphasis will be placed on building sound relationships with community groups and NGOs based on open and transparent communication. The program will foster NGO networks using technology and other resources, thereby enhancing cooperation, facilitating linkages nationally and strengthening relationships among international and Timorese communities.
