Iadarola Attends AIG Luncheon for Ambassador Husain Haqqani


On October 29 ACDI/VOCA’s Managing Director of the Emerging from Conflict Portfolio Sally Iadarola attended a luncheon with guest of honor Ambassador Husain Haqqani of Pakistan. The luncheon was sponsored by the American International Group, Inc. (AIG).


Ambassador Haqqani was sworn in as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States in April 2008. His excellency graduated from the University of Karachi in 1977, and received a master's degree in international relations with distinction in 1980 from the same university. A professor and the author of numerous books, he currently edits the journal “Current Trends in Islamist Thought” and writes a syndicated column for several newspapers in South Asia and the Middle East.


Ambassador Haqqani addressed Pakistan's complex and evolving relationship with America at the luncheon.
