New Project Won–Ethiopia: TransFair EAFCA

ACDI/VOCA is partnering with TransFair USA to launch a Fair Trade marketing channel improvement project in Ethiopia that will enable Fair Trade-certified coffee producers to gain better access to U.S. markets. The project will work with cooperatives and cooperative unions to improve their management and business performance, support market linkage activities such as attendance at trade shows and strengthen Fair Trade certification compliance.

ACDI/VOCA-Ethiopia will provide TransFair USA with EAFCA conference and exhibition preparation services targeted at providing assistance to four of Ethiopia’s Coffee Cooperative Unions:

• Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union
• Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union
• Yergacheffe Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Union
• Kafa Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union
